In your own Google Drive account, not on GuestDrop's servers. When you create an event, you connect your Google Drive once, and every photo or video a guest uploads goes straight into a folder inside your Drive that you already own and control. Guests never see your Drive or need access to it; the upload flow only writes into the folder GuestDrop created for that specific event. Because storage runs on your existing Google account, you are not paying for platform storage or bumping into a media cap tied to GuestDrop, your normal Google Drive quota applies instead. If you ever disconnect your Drive or your GuestDrop event expires after 7 days, nothing is deleted: the photos stay exactly where they landed in your Drive, ready to download, share, or turn into an album whenever you are ready.

Guests do not need an account to upload, so there is no guest password database that could be exposed in a breach. Because the media itself lives in your Drive, you control who can access it through Google's own sharing and permission settings, the same protections you would use for any sensitive file. If you ever revoke GuestDrop's Drive access, new uploads simply stop; nothing already stored in your Drive is affected.
