GuestDrop vs EventPics
Who this comparison is for.
This comparison is for someone deciding between a paid, feature-rich subscription and a free alternative that copies everything to your own Drive. EventPics ships native iOS and Android apps and a recurring Premium plan once you outgrow its free tier. GuestDrop skips the subscription entirely, holds 10 GB for each event free, and sends a copy of every upload to your own Google Drive.
If you're trying to work out whether a monthly bill is worth it for a single event, or whether it only makes sense once you're running events regularly, this page lays out the concrete case for each.

Two situations, and which one fits.
A milestone birthday you're only ever throwing once
One event, one weekend, then you're done planning parties for a while. EventPics' free tier would cover you at 2GB, but that storage expires roughly six weeks after the event, and moving to Premium for more room or longer retention means paying €4.99 to €19.99 a month for something you'll use once. GuestDrop is free with no subscription, holds 10 GB for each event, and sends a copy of every guest upload to your own Drive, where it stays for as long as you keep the account, even after the free hosted gallery closes.
A photographer or planner running events every month
If you're the one organizing events on an ongoing basis, want native iOS and Android apps for guests instead of a browser flow, and are fine paying a predictable monthly fee to keep using the same tooling across every event, EventPics' subscription model earns its keep. The Premium tier's storage and app experience scale with a repeat use case in a way a one-off free tool doesn't need to.
What you give up, either way.
The tradeoff comes down to how often you're doing this. Choosing GuestDrop means giving up native mobile apps and any vendor-managed storage tier, in exchange for a free hosted gallery with 10 GB for each event and no subscription. Choosing EventPics' Premium plan means paying a recurring monthly fee, from €4.99 to €19.99 depending on storage, in exchange for native apps and a service that doesn't ask you to think about your own Drive quota.
Free, not a monthly bill.
EventPics is the only subscription-model competitor we found in our teardown of the category. Its free tier gives you 2GB of storage and unlimited guests, but that storage expires roughly 6 weeks after an instant-start event, or after a short post-event window for a scheduled one. To keep more storage or hold onto photos longer, you move to a recurring Premium plan billed monthly, from €4.99 up to €19.99 depending on the tier.
GuestDrop is free to use, with no recurring bill to remember to cancel. It keeps every original and sends a copy of each guest upload to your own Google Drive. The GuestDrop-hosted gallery link and guest uploads stay open free for 7 days after the event, then you have 30 days to download everything, and the copy in your Drive stays exactly where it landed.
Want the hosted gallery to stay open longer? A one-time payment per event extends it. You'll see the price in your event dashboard when you extend. Still no subscription, and still nowhere near EventPics' recurring Premium fee.
Common questions about switching from EventPics.
EventPics gerçekten bir abonelik mi?
Evet.
EventPics'in ücretsiz katmanı sona erdiğinde fotoğraflarıma ne olur?
EventPics'in ücretsiz katmanı etkinlik tarihine bağlıdır.
