Two situations, and which one fits.
A large wedding with a thousand-plus photo gallery
At that scale, guests genuinely cannot scroll through every photo to find the handful they're in. GuestCam's MagicFind selfie search ($45/event) solves a real problem here, and the bundled audio guestbook is a nice add for a big reception. The honest tradeoff: GuestCam's Standard and Premium plans bound your upload window to 6 or 12 months and your storage to 12 or 14 months from the event date, so the photos don't stay in your control indefinitely the way a Drive-based gallery does.
A smaller gathering where you just want everything kept, permanently
For a birthday party, graduation, or smaller wedding where guests can reasonably browse the whole gallery without needing selfie search, GuestDrop is the simpler and cheaper choice: every photo lands in your own Google Drive, the storage never expires, and there's no per-add-on decision to make before the event even starts. There is also no plan tier to pick correctly in advance, no $49-versus-$97 guess about how much storage or upload window you'll actually need, since the account you already own doesn't run out of either.

It also bundles an audio guestbook, web and dial-in phone, into every plan at no extra cost. GuestDrop doesn't have either of these today; face-matching is on our roadmap (AI-01), not yet shipped.
In exchange, GuestDrop routes every guest upload directly into the event creator's own Google Drive account instead of a vendor-hosted private gallery, and includes an Apple Photos-style masonry gallery with storage that never expires, no counting down a 12-to-14-month upload-and-storage window tied to your event date. If AI face-search or a bundled audio guestbook matters most to you, GuestCam's add-on delivers that today. If keeping every original in storage you already own, with no expiry clock, matters more, that's what GuestDrop is built around.
